Naturopathic & Environmental Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is part of a restorative and preventative health and wellness care plan.  It is recognized as one of the original systems of medicine offering safe, effective patient-centered care.  Naturopathic medicine emphasizes prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and natural substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods.

Naturopathic Medicine is comprehensive in its approach to whole health and individualized to support health-related lifestyle and behavioral change.  It’s focus is to address the underlying root causes of disease while using minimally invasive therapies.  Naturopathic Medicine concentrates on removing obstacles to healing and utilizes treatments that are in tune with the body’s natural healing abilities.  It combines the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science.  Dr. Moore may include any of the following in her treatment guidance to patients: therapeutic nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathic preparations, biotherapeutic drainage, depuration and detoxification, lifestyle counseling, movement and physical medicine.  Dr. Moore provides both general and specialty natural medicine for acute and chronic health conditions.

Dr. Moore provides both general and specialty natural medicine for acute and chronic health conditions. Naturopathic appointments are between 30 - 90 minutes. A first visit to establish Naturopathic Medical Care with Dr. Moore includes a comprehensive medical history and intake, specific physical examination as needed, review of current and/or past relevant labs, and new lab requests that are appropriate for the current conditions presented. Subsequently, once all necessary information has been gathered, an appropriate treatment plan is developed.  With complex and chronic conditions, the treatment plan is typically modified over time taking into consideration the changes that occur with alleviating symptoms and resolution of presenting conditions. With acute conditions, the course of treatment is often short; therefore, further treatment may not be necessary.

Dr. Laura Moore is a conscientious and skilled practitioner who, most importantly, truly listens to my concerns. She has been instrumental in helping to bring energetic balance and physical health back into my life. Dr. Moore not only has provided me with exceptional holistic care, but she also has given me many essential tools to take an active part in my own health and well-being. As a 7-year cancer survivor, my time with Dr. Moore marks the first time that any doctor has truly addressed the aftermath of chemotherapy. My experience with Dr. Moore has been better than I could have ever imagined naturopathic treatment to be. I think of Dr. Moore as a modern-day medicine woman, a true intuitive healer! I feel so very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Laura Moore’s…finding her was like a gift from the Universe that I didn’t know how much I needed.

Dr. Moore works with the energetics of health and advocates its use in both Eastern and Western natural medicine as a preventative approach to health and wellness. Therefore, she may suggest the incorporation of Acupuncture & Asian Medicine as well as other forms of healing as part of a complete treatment plan where appropriate and agreed upon.
